Sand Dunes are da Bomb

How was your weekend? Mine was great. I grabbed my girls and a couple of their friends, and told them to go take a flying leap. Off a sand dune, that is.

And, boy, did they jump . . .

. . . and roll . . .

. . . and ROLL . . .

. . . AND ROLL!

Yes, that is a real sand dune. On the coastline. In Alaska. It's too cold to wear swimsuits, but 60° temperatures don't stop us from getting sand in our shorts.

I have gone down sand hills with a snow saucer. Does it sting rolling down?

That looks like a LOT of fun!

I loved going to White Sands in New Mexico. We slid down. I totally would have rolled, but I was like 8 and a half months pregnant. Shouldn't have even slid down, but I'm a rebel like that.

Sounds like a blast! But I can only imagine how embedded in their bodies all that sand was! LOL

That looks like so much fun! I haven't played in the sand lately, and it IS warm enough to go in the ocean here!
