They are sproingy indeed. We have to worry about them jumping on the roof of the car in these parts. I hope a moose wouldn't do that, you'd be crushed!
Oh wow! Well caught :o)
We can't plant anything in our front yard that isn't deer proof. Which is also synonymous for nice to look at. Here lately, I need to worry more about armadillos because they are tearing up my front flower beds. Time for momma to get out the 22.
Sorry you had a heart-stopping experience. At least the deer run away from YOU, unlike their larger palmate cousins. We have whitetails around here too, but you mainly see them as roadkill, especially in rut season, like it is now. My daughter had the dubious privilege of seeing two randy bucks get atomized by a tractor-trailer this weekend.
Sproingy is the perfect word for moose! Deer on the other hand are an ever persistent presence.
Deer can be so stealthy. One minute you're alone and BOOM, the next minute you're slamming your brakes because one is darting in front of your car.... or creeping out of the hotel bushes.
What a great picture!!! It's hard to get a picture of them too. Usually they run off!
Comedian Louis C.K. said deer are like rats with terrible gas. They look pristine but when it comes time to drop the dew, its time to <------
