Mooned by a Moose

There I am, minding my own business, wandering about the house looking for some leftover Halloween candy, when I decide to open the curtains and let in some light.

And good day to YOU, sir. Or is it madam?
On second thought, forget I asked.

From a less graphic angle, you can see that a mother moose and her calf are lounging on our deck, eating something . . . orange? What the . . . ?

Please. Help yourself.
We spent hours carving pumpkins
just so you could enjoy a mid-morning snack.

Dinner last night: teriyaki chicken, stir-fry rice

  2. Minus the mooning, that is just REALLY cool. I'd be happy if someone came on the porch and ate the carved pumpkins. As long as they did it after Halloween.

  3. LOVE the strategically-placed snowflake!

Now you don't have to worry about disposing of your pumpkins.

  4. There's a moose on your deck! I was just at Wal-mart and they had pumpkins on sale for 50 cents a piece. I wondered who would buy a pumpkin now for any price. I suppose it would do for moose food!

  5. I will not complain about the deer eating a few flowers again. Ok, I will, but I'll think about your poor pumpkins.

  6. MOOSE POST! MOOSE POST! These pics were the highlight of my eleven-year-old's day off from school today. Some thing about middle school boys, and mooning, and a moose . . . he now wants to move to Alaska :)

  7. Wow right in your backyard? I've had deer in my backyard, but never moose. That's pretty awesome.

  9. Kim, I love the moose eating the pumpkin. Here it's squirrels who do that. Guess what, it takes them a lot longer.
