The elderberries are still bright red, but starting to shrivel.
The forest floor is covered in soggy moss, ferns, and . . .
. . . mushrooms. HUGE mushrooms.
Mushrooms that are bigger than my dainty clown foot.
Dinner last night: spaghetti and meatballs, green salad

It's been HOT! here the last little while, but today looks exactly like your picturs. Only not as pretty. I love the first pic.
ReplyDeleteWe had spaghetti and meatballs last night too!
Only if you ask the kids, we had pizghetti (Mater) or mazghetti (Tinkerbell)
It has been hot, but it just suddenly cooled down. It was 50 degrees overnight.
ReplyDeleteThose woods are gorgeous. I'd love to come walk around them.
I love the boots! I wandered over here from SITS, have a great day in the spotlight!
ReplyDeleteHow incredibly beautiful it is there!
ReplyDeleteWhat you are experiencing now will be the depth of my winter. Now go inside your house and turn your heater up to 110 and make sure that there's plenty of water so it's nice and humid. Then you can experience my world. I do not suggest doing so without medical attention ready.
ReplyDeleteNot that jealousy is a character trait that I encourage...but...
ReplyDeleteJealous! Oh, I love where you live!
Wowza! They grow 'em big up there!
ReplyDeleteYour photos are simply gorgeous! I felt the coolness and immediately relaxed!
That looks so refreshing! We finally did get some rain and sprouted mushrooms. It doesn't take much.
