A Leaf or Two-Thousand

We seem to be in the middle of fall, a term which I believe comes from "the falling of leaves."

Leaves fall from the trees . . .

upon the lawn . . .

then blow onto the driveway . . .

and cover the deck.

I have decided that pumpkin-carving parties are passè. Instead, I shall throw a leaf party. Next weekend. Bring your own rake.

Dinner last night: Chinese buffet

Leaf raking...now that's building memories.

I miss raking leaves. I can say this since we have just one tree in our yard and the leaves seem to disappear as soon as they fall. Actually, I don't miss raking leaves... just jumping in the raked piles : )

Raking the deck is not a part of fall I particularly relish! ;)

Even though it's already October, the leaves haven't fallen yet here in Florida. I can't wait for them to do so, though. I'm ready for winter! The humidity has been insane lately.

Love your pics!

We are so not there yet. But we learned last year that our front door is some sort of magnet to leaves. There will be a three foot pile on a breezy day. I just love the leaves getting all crunched up and drug into my house.

We don't get leaves like that around my neighborhood. As much as it's a giant mess, I kind of miss it.

I love fall! The first picture would be perfect as a desktop wallpaper, beautiful. :-)

Oh man, seeing your porch covered in leaves makes me ache for fall. It still feels like summer over here and we have YET to spot a fallen leaf anywhere on our lawn.

I definitely think your "leaf raking party" is a valid idea!! Seriously....serve warm cider and hot chocolate and get those friends to work!!!!

Love the pictures of the leaves, but I am kinda glad that I am not raking them up. :)

Stopped by from SITS.

I need a leaf raking party too, and I only have a tiny city yard! Thanks for stopping by my blog earlier!

Me and Fall are still making friends this year. Raking Party? Might be a stroke of genius.

Lucky you! I adore leaves, the sound, the smell and yes even the raking! However - our weather was so either too hot or too dry - and we don't have leaves. We just have dead leaves in trees. Loved your picts!
