Two Turtle Doves

My 4-year-old daughters have taken to playing in the lilac tree. They like to hang by their knees and swing from the branches. Remember those days?

Sisters and friends.

Dinner last night: spaghetti

I do so love that photograph! It needs framing!

Our six year old does that too. The liliac bush/big enough to be a tree, is right outside the kitchen. Any time he climbs up to swing though, he has to hang upside down...he's moved to hanging upside down with one leg. Crazy;
Your picture is adorable!

How sweet. They are so cute. I never did that in trees but I did it on monkey bars. We used to sit up and flip backwards.

Oh, Kim!
I just stumbled on to your blog from Scribbit. Your stories of family and life in AK are so inspiring. We live in Kodiak, AK where it rains and rains and rains. I have been trying to blog for about two years and really don't mind my life interesting enough to blog about. You make our small Alaskan lives sound like the adventures that they are. Thanks for the inspirations

LOVE that picture. I never like the studio shots, but rather those that capture them like they really are

Denise, our lilac is right outside the kitchen, too! It's the perfect size for the girls, because it's not so big that they can't easily climb around in it, but it's sturdy enough to hold their weight.

Thanks so much for the kind words, Melissa! I love Kodiak. It reminds me a lot of where I grew up (Ketchikan): island, water, rainy, beautiful!

CUTE! You have your own fairy tree. That's what we call our girls when they climb trees; Tree Fairies! So the tree is the fairy tree. I mostly see bare feet hanging down from it.
What a sweet picture. :)

You'd better have that picture blown up, framed, and hanging in their room -- it is fabulous!
